Joan Laurette Lufkin

WHITEFIELD – Joan L. Lufkin, 86, of Twin Mountain Road, died of a sudden illness at her home on October 20, 2022.

Mrs. Lufkin was born in Amesbury, MA, on December 3, 1935. She was raised in Amesbury and was a graduate of Amesbury High School. She furthered her education and earned a degree in teaching. For many years she taught full-time at Leominster High School and later was a substitute teacher at Middlebury High School. Her last job was with Anderson Power Products, Sterling, MA, until retiring in 2009. From there she spent her retirement years in Whitefield, NH. Joan was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Berlin, NH.

Surviving family members include her daughter, Shawna Wyman of Sterling, MA; her sisters, Lorraine Fogg of Seabrook, NH; Jaqueline Jones, her twin, of S. Lancaster, MA, Andrea Arroyo of Georgia, Carol Lapierre; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Wayne A. Lufkin.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
