John Garrison

October 19, 1951 — June 8, 2024

Lancaster, NH – John A Garrison passed away peacefully June 8, 2024 after a short battle with cancer. John passed while in the amazing care of the staff at Weeks Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, NH.

John was born Jean-Albert Jacquet in Chateauroux-Sur-Indre, Indre France. John later immigrated to the US in approximately 1956. After graduation John enlisted in the US Navy where he served as a machinist in the reactor room of a nuclear submarine. After serving in the Navy, John began what would be a life-long career at Baltimore Gas and Electric Company where he held numerous management positions.

John was predeceased by his loving wife and partner Debbie as well as his parents Robert and Lucienne Marie Justine Garrison. John is survived by a sister, Josette Marie-Claude Antonelli and her husband Daniel Antonelli of Downey, California in addition to two nephews and a niece.

John enjoyed helping Debbie with her feral cat rescue project as well as volunteering to work with dogs and as an all-around Mr. Fix It at a local animal shelter. In addition, John was a longtime model railroader who was happy to share his knowledge with others.

In later years John enjoyed working around their home in Lancaster as well as helping friends and neighbors. John volunteered with the Coos County Republican Committee. He was also a volunteer on various projects for the town of Lancaster as well as the North Conway Model Railroad Club. John was an active member of All Saints Church in Lancaster and had been working recently compiling a history of All Saints Church.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at All Saints Church on August 17th, 2024 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation honoring John to the Humane Society of Harford County, Maryland, C Alley Cats of Lake Wallenpaupack, Pennsylvania, The Kingdon Animal Shelter of St. Johnsbury, VT, or the American Cancer Society.
