John A. Morin

John A. Morin. 80, a resident of Lancaster and Pinellas Park, FL passed away, on December 26, 2011 at the Palms of Pasadena Hospital. He was born in Lancaster on June 14, 1931 a son to the late Peter J. Sr. and Olivene (Morrisette) Morin.

John graduated from Lancaster Academy and entered into the army during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge from the Army, John worked for Peaslee's Farm in Guildhall and then for NH VT Transportation. He spent the final 32 years of his career working for St. Johnsbury Trucking out of their Manchester, NH Terminal.

John was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and one of the original members of the Gilman American Legion. He enjoyed hunting and just loved the peace and quite of being in nature. John spent and enjoyed his time making and maintaining roads on his land. He will be remembered not only for being a gentleman but being a gentle man.

John was pre deceased by his parents and five brothers, Peter Jr., James, Paul, Francis and Fredrick. He is survived by his wife Arlene (Ridgwell) Morin, his son Jason Matthews, many cousins, several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday January 3, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at All Saints Catholic Church in Lancaster on January 4, 2012 at 10AM. Burial will be held in the spring at Calvary Cemetery in Lancaster.
