John Raymond Rolfe

LANCASTER, NH - John Raymond Rolfe, 92, passed away on February 27, 2025, after a short illness. He was born to Vera Rolfe Letourneau and John Angus Rolfe in 1932 in Northumberland NH.
In 1955 John married Beatrice Stevens and raised a family of 5 children in Lancaster. He worked at the Groveton Paper Company beginning in 1952 until he retired in 2014.
John always had a smile on his face and loved to tell stories. He enjoyed outdoor life, hunting, fishing, kayaking and taking scenic car rides that often ended with getting lunch or ice cream. He loved taking his family to their camp in New Hampton and having family gatherings at Nash Pond and the Community Camp. In his later days, John enjoyed sitting outside watching nature and his beloved view of Mt Washington.
Surviving family includes his children: Bruce Rolfe of Island Pond, VT, Barry Rolfe of New Hampton, NH/ Weirsdale FL, Cynthia Foltz and her husband Greg of Mechanicsville, MD, Dale Rolfe and his wife Simone of Burke, VA, Debra Rolfe and her husband Howard of Winterville, GA;
Grandchildren: Sarah Gray of Stephens. GA, Adam Gray of Winterville GA, Chana & Zahavah Bieksker Rolfe of Burke, VA, Max & Jacob Foltz of Mechanicsville, MD. John was well loved by extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held in the spring.
