DALTON- John E. York, 66, died Tuesday November 17, 2009, at the Littleton Regional Hospital.
Mr. York was born in Syracuse, New York on September 8, 1943, the son of Emerson and Marjorie (Fisher) York.
John was a resident of Dalton for 31 years. For several years he served on the Dalton Fire Department, the Dalton Conservation Commission and was also the past sexton for the town cemeteries.
He was an avid reader and loved spending time at his camp in Maine.
Family members include his wife of 43 years, Sandra (Brockett) York of Dalton, two daughters, Tammy Letson and her husband John of Dalton and Rhonda York, 2 grandchildren, Samantha and Jonathan, a sister Liz Potter of Merrimack.
At John's request there are no services.
Donations maybe made in his memory to the Dalton Vol. Fire Dept. First Responder's Program, 756 Dalton Road, Dalton, NH, c/o Ron Sheltry.
