CHARLESTOWN, NH - Joyce B. (King) Holden, 71, died at her home Friday morning June 1, 2007.
Mrs. Holden was born one of 14 children in North Stratford, NH, on November 17, 1935, the daughter of William and Carmen (Dupuis) King where she was raised as a youth and graduated from Stratford High School.
Joyce was a resident of Colebrook, Twin Mountain, and Groveton, prior to moving to Charlestown. She chose nursing as her career. Special things she enjoyed were riding on back roads, fishing, and the camp at Fish Pond. Her hearts greatest joys were her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
Family members include her husband of 38 years, Wayne A. Holden Jr.; three daughters, Debra Morin of Milton, DE, Cynthia Holden-Plummer of Lebanon, Dawn Berry of Claremont; four sisters, Orleans Jeffers of Westbrook, ME, Gloria Brooks of Lancaster, Carol Sibulkin of Sanbornton, Darlene Henry of Pittsburg; granddaughter Tearsha Morin with two of her great-granddaughters, Kyra Morin and Keyllie Morin all of Ellendale, DE; grandson Thomas Plummer of Germaintown, MD; granddaughter Neecia Berry with one of her great-granddaughters Tailyn Berry both of Claremont; Grandson, William Plummer of Berdsboro, PA; grandson Zeric Berry with her great-grandson Tristen Berry of Claremont; and many nieces and nephews. A son Michael predeceased her.
Visiting hours will be held Monday evening June 4, 2007 from 6:30 to 9:00 at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday June 5, at 10:00 AM at All Saints Church, Lancaster. Rev. Raymond Ball, pastor, will officiate. Private burial will follow.
