LANCASTER - Juliet V. Dexter, 75, of the McKee Inn, died Wednesday July 4, 2007, at Country Village Genesis Eldercare Center.
Juliet was born in Manhattan, NY, on October 13, 1931, the daughter of Frank and Ida (Costtelletti) Scardaccione.
She resided in her youth in New York and has lived in the North Country for approximately 50 years. She was active community volunteer and devoted much of her time to organizations such as the Caleb Group, RSVP, Colonel Town Recreation and facilities including the McKee Inn and Country Village Eldercare. She was a woman of many varied interests and talents, particularly gardening.
Family members include four children, Steven Dexter of Concord, NH, Michael Watson of Conway, NH, Joyce McAllister and her husband Ward of Holbrook, LI, NY, Jamie Watson and his wife Donna of Dover, NH; a sister Gloria S. Hedge of Great River, NY; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson Jeremy Dexter and her beloved dog Gidget.
There are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held Friday morning July 6, at 10:00 AM in Calvary Cemetery, Lancaster. Rev. Raymond Ball, pastor of All Saints Church, Lancaster, will officiate.
