Kathy Marie Bishop

LANCASTER- Kathy Marie Bishop, 47, passed away Friday morning October 30, 2009, at the Country Village Genesis Elder Care, Lancaster after a long battle with Huntington's Disease with her family by her side.
Ms. Bishop was born in Lancaster on January 11, 1962, a daughter of Robert and Nancy Ann (Hurlbert) Bishop.
Kathy was a raised in Lancaster and was a graduate of White Mountain Regional High School. For 14 years she worked at Country Village Nursing Home, where she took pride in her work. She was a wonderful mother who loved her son and grandson with all of her heart.
She enjoyed taking walks and loved to go to the fair.
Family members include her father and stepmother Robert Bishop and Cathy of Lancaster, her two sons Joshua Bishop and his companion Caresse of Whitefield and James Robert Strickland also of Whitefield, a grandson Dakota Bishop, her brother Mike Bishop and his wife Della, her sister Kelly Bishop and step-sisters Paula Dunn and her husband Robert and Wendy Stuart all of Lancaster and nieces, nephews and cousins. Her mother predeceased her.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday evening November 1, from 6-9 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A graveside service will be held Monday morning at 11:00 AM in the Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster. Reverend Ron Bruce, pastor at the Christ United Methodist Church will officiate.
In lieu of flowers donations maybe made in Kathy's memory to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, New England Regional Office, 6 Courthouse Lane Unit 12, Chelmsford, MA 01824.
