GROVETON - On the cold day of February 11th, 1966, Kimberly Ann Niles Sirois stormed into this world, born to Robert A. Niles and Jane C. (MacMillan) Shannon. On the sunny morning of November 6, 2021, she left this world after a long, courageous battle with cancer, under the loving care of her family and close friends at home.
Kimmie was lovingly raised by her "Dad", Edwin A. Shannon Sr., and mom Jane, the next to the youngest of seven children. At the time she learned to easily twist situations to her advantages and make the world her oyster. Her brothers and siblings were the entire world to her along with her loving husband Todd.
Kimmie loved the outdoors and being at the ocean or with family enjoying life, laughing and making memories. Her motto in life was don't sit behind the camera taking the pictures, live the memories in life. May you all be inspired by Kimmie, "live like someone left the gate wide open".
Throughout her life Kimmie was an inspiration. While fighting her own battles with cancer she guided and supported others through their own journeys. She served many drinks to thirsty patrons at the Moose Club, Elms, VFW, and Legion. She was an amazing cook, and a crafty person. Kimmie loved a good tune and had the voice of an angel. She will be missed by all she touched.
Surviving family members include her husband Todd Sirois of Lancaster; her siblings Debra Parks (Neal), Lauren Spargo (Larry), Will Mitchell (Lynn), Lewis Niles, Erin Bissonnette (Rejean); chosen sisters, Penny Dodge, Kristine Baker, Donna Gaudette, Jackie Woodard, Anna McLaughlin; her nieces and nephews, eleven biological, several by choice, who she loved as if they were her own; and her fur babies, Winston and Kitty. She was predeceased by all her parents; a sister Terry Niles; and infant nephew Peter.
She was a member of the American Legion Post #17 Groveton, the Lancaster VFW Post #3041, and the Stark Methodist Church.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in her memory to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, St. Johnsbury, VT or Toys for Tots.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
