DALTON, NH - Leo Carmello Brocuglio born January 1, 1935, in Hartford, CT (yes a New Year's Baby) from Dalton, NH age 85 passed peacefully on July 28, 2020 after a lengthy and courageous battle with kidney failure and heart disease at Country Village Lancaster, NH.
Leo previously lived in Hartford and Bloomfield, Ct and was a parishioner of St. Patrick's and St. Anthony's church in Hartford, CT and Christ the king church in Bloomfield, CT for many years before moving to Dalton. He then became a parishioner of The Gates of Heaven church in Lancaster NH.
Leo was an active member of the 3rd and 4th degree Knights of Columbus the Bishop McMahon Assembly and served as Honor Guard, Faithful Navigator, Grand Knight, and President. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Groveton, NH. In Connecticut he was a member of the Bloomfield Lions Club and the Disabled American Veterans.
He served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He attended the Institute of Accounting, Hartford, CT. For a time worked for the Phoenix Parking Garage and the Schwartz Parking Garage in Hartford, CT. He was later employed at Aetna Life and Casualty and later with the Internal Revenue Serve where he worked as Audit Accounting Aid.
Leo enjoyed his western and cooking channels, Fast and Furious movies, wrestling with his daughter, EWTN and tolerated days of our lives with his wife and Disney channel with his grandchildren. He was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his Wife of 60 beautiful and wonderful years Connie J. (Masci) Brocuglio of Dalton presently also at Country Village Healthcare in Lancaster; his son Joseph Brocuglio and Josephs ISO provider and dear and close friend of the family Paul Konkle of Littleton, NH; his Daughter Mary Brocuglio and her boyfriend Robert Sullivan from Dalton, NH and Windsor, CT; his two grandchildren Isabella "Belle" Brocuglio and Joseph "JP" Rioux of Dalton, NH; his godchild Michael Brocuglio and wife Jessica of CT; his sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws Ruth Brocuglio in Enfield, CT; Francis (Masci) Caves of Bristol, Ct, Kathrine (Masci) and Michael Galante and William and Adele Masci from Connecticut; and many nephews, nieces, and great nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Antonio Bricuglio and his mother and step father Josephine (Darone) and Charles Mabolitti, his sister Rita Mabolitti, his brothers Patrick Brocuglio Sr. & Leo Bricuglio, his Nephews Chuck Brocuglio Sr. and Tony Brocuglio and his niece Lori Brocuglio.
The family would like to thank the staff of Weeks Medical Center Hospital and Clinics with special shout out to Dr. John Ford, Christopher Laurent, Angelo Vozella, the Dialysis team. Also a special thank you to the staff at Country Village Healthcare, Traveras, Lancaster and Whitefield Ambulance along with Dalton Fire EMS. You have all done so much for Leo through the years.
Memorial visiting hours will be held Saturday, September 12th, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30 PM at All Saints Church, Lancaster. Reverend Matthew Schultz, pastor, will officiate. A private service for family will also be held in Connecticut at a later date.
