Lewis E. Gonyer

WHITEFIELD- Lewis E. Gonyer, 80, of Union Street, died Thursday morning December 11, 2008, at the Morrison Nursing Home.
Mr. Gonyer was born on September 4, 1928, in Lincoln, NH, a son of Alfred Gonyer and Ruth (Wilson) Gonyer Dingman.
Lewis was a hard worker; to help his family he started working at the age of twelve. For 39 years he worked for Morrow Tree in Whitefield, retiring in 1997. After retirement he worked summers mowing the Green at Bretton Woods and the winter as a ski lift operator.
He is survived by three daughters, Ruth Gonyer, Shirley Gonyer and Mona Kelly all of Whitefield; two sons, Peter Gonyer of Littleton and Clifford Gonyer of Conway, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by, his wife Nancy (Downs) Gonyer.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
