Lillian Macdonald Tatro

Lillian MacDonald Tatro, 83, transitioned on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, surrounded by loved ones at the St. Johnsbury Health and Rehab Center.
Lillian was a lifelong resident of East Concord, and active in various community groups. For years she served as organist, choir director and Sunday School Superintendent of the East Concord United Methodist Church. Adept at several instruments, Lillian drummed with the historic Grant-Nichols Drum Corp, and provided entertainment for many local celebrations with "The Country Gals" quartet. Along with enjoying music, Lil was an avid card player, an ardent NASCAR fan, a terrific cook and a 50 year member of the Concord Chapter of the Eastern Star.
During the '70s and '80s, Lillian worked at Burndy Manufacturing in St. Johnsbury. Prior to that, she worked part-time for several years at the Gilman Paper Mill.
Lillian is survived by her husband of almost 63 years, Pete Tatro; one son, Bradley Tatro and daughter-in-law, Sandi Kennedy of Stark, NH; and one daughter and granddaughter from Atlanta, Linda and Katie Herzer. Lillian is also survived by her much loved nieces and nephews and their children and significant others, along with several sister- and brother-in-laws, and many dear friends. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Harry and Cleona (Nichols) MacDonald, her infant daughter, Sharon, and two brothers, John and Howard MacDonald.
Visiting hours will be held at Bailey Funeral Home, 210 Main St., Lancaster, NH, 03584, on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 1:00-2:30. A Celebration of Life Service will also be held there from 2:30-3:00.
