Linda E. Fraser

February 16, 1940 — April 19, 2018

LANCASTER - Linda E. Fraser, 78, of Garland Road, died Thursday, April 19th, 2018, at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, after a string of recent illnesses.

Mrs. Fraser was a lifetime resident of Lancaster, born there born on February 16, 1940, the daughter of Everett A. and Frances E. (Hall) Emerson Sr. On February 18, 1956 she married Kenneth F. Fraser Jr. of Lancaster.

Linda taught Sunday school at the Lancaster Methodist Church. She belonged to the Methodist Women's Society, and served on the board of trusties. She was also a art teacher, as well as a cake decorator for 40 years. Linda and Ken enjoyed traveling in their younger years going to places like Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Islands, and the New England Seacoast. Her pastimes later on in life with Ken and family included fishing on their Pontoon boat, an avid collector of music boxes, teacups, watching wildlife which included a family of raccoons, a pair of skunks, groundhogs, and untold number of bird species. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family especially her great grandchildren.

She is survived by a son Kenneth E. Fraser and wife Marlene of Lancaster; grandchildren, Kenneth E. Fraser II and wife Heather of Lancaster, Franklin J. Fraser of Lancaster, Abigail Whittier of Colorado Springs, Co, Kathryn Broe of Lancaster, Leon Bernard and wife Polly of Bow, Sara Bernard and husband Rob of Clearwater, FL; great-grandchildren, Dannika, Lily, Elizabeth, Andrew, Connor, Sabrina; three brother in laws, James O. Fraser and wife Linda of Concord, NH and Florida, Allen R. Fraser and wife Val of Hill, NH, Donald R. Fraser and wife Chris of Lancaster; Sister in laws, May Sampson and her husband Paul of Lancaster, Marilyn Ayre of Arizona, Myra Emerson of Lancaster Lynette Emerson of North Stratford; many nieces, nephews, cousins and her lifelong friend Janie Gray as well as her pet cat Simba. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth F. Fraser Jr; an infant daughter Kathy Lynn Fraser; a daughter-in-law Mildred G. Fraser and siblings Everett A. Emerson Jr., Leslie Z. Emerson, Fred A. Emerson, Jon H. Emerson, Selma A. Delworth, Fay Hodge, Marion Babcock and Dorothy Emerson; and her mother and father.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, April 27th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Christ United Methodist Church, Lancaster. Reverend Richard Boyden, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Summer Street Cemetery followed by a reception back at the church.
