WHITEFIELD - Louis R. Sottile III, 17, died Monday, May 2, 2022, in Whitefield. He was born in Woodsville, NH on July 12, 2004, the son of Louis R. Sottile Jr. and Stephanie M. (Carriere) Sottile.
Louis lived most of his life in Whitefield, attending Whitefield Elementary and Middle Schools. He also attended White Mountain Regional High School, graduating this year. Throughout his school years he was an avid basketball player. Louis also developed a love of the culinary arts. He took two years of culinary at Whitefield Elementary and four years in high school. His mentor Chef was very special to him. He reached a point of knowledge and experience where he himself became a teacher of culinary arts for the middle school students at the WMRHS.
Louis loved gaming and driving the family El Camino. For several years he worked as a houseman at the Mountain View Grand Hotel.
Surviving family members include his parents Louis Jr. and Stephanie of Whitefield; his brothers and sisters, Mya Dube of Dalton, Jarvis Sottile, Adrianna Dube, Ashton Sottile and Hector Dube all of Whitefield; his maternal grandfather, Douglas Carriere Sr. of St. Johnsbury; paternal grandparents, Louis R. Sottile Sr. of Whitefield, Susan Dube of Mexico; aunts and uncles, Chris Tripp of Virginia, Irene Sabens of Danville, Tara DeHaven of Jefferson, Douglas Carriere Jr. of St. Johnsbury, Chad Dube of Ascutney, VT, Phil Martindale of Bradford, VT; and many cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Diana Carriere.
A celebration of life will be a held Tuesday, May 31st, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at White Mountain Regional High School.
