Marguerite "Peggy" Mackillop Brown

LANCASTER, NH- Marguerite "Peggy" MacKillop Brown, 68, died Friday evening, July 15, 2011, at the Country Village Nursing Home, with her family by her side.

Mrs. Brown was born in Lancaster on December 1, 1942, the daughter of Edward A. and Marguerite (Kennett) MacKillop.

Peggy owned and operated Parker's Jewelry for several years. She truly loved people, doing many acts of kindness, without anything expected in return.

Surviving family members include six brothers, Edward W. MacKillop of Fort Lauderdale, FL, James MacKillop and his wife Susan of Lancaster, John MacKillop and his wife Sandy of Lancaster, Michael MacKillop and wife Jade of Lancaster, Timothy MacKillop of Lancaster, and Richard MacKillop of Lancaster; six sisters, Linda Hopps of Groveton, Cheryl MacKillop of Lancaster, Patricia Kipp and husband Steve of Florida, Judith Paschal and husband Wayne of Berlin, Joyce Bean of Lancaster, Debra MacKillop and Raymond Frizzell of Stark; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by, her parents, her husband Joseph E. Brown Sr. and two brothers Robert MacKillop and Ronald MacKillop

Memorial visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A graveside service for her and her husband Joseph E. Brown Sr. will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 AM in the Summer Street Cemetery. Rev. Brendan Whittaker will officiate.

A gathering after the service will be held at the MacKillop Farm, 580 North Rd., Lancaster, NH.
