LANCASTER, NH - Marguerite J. "Pete" Connors, 89, died early Tuesday morning, February 13, 2018, at Country Village Genesis Healthcare Center, Lancaster.
Mrs. Connors was born in North Stratford, NH, on March 30, 1928, the daughter of Harold W. and Charlotte (Hodgins) Ramsay.
Raised in North Stratford she was a graduate of Stratford High School. She married Daniel K. Connors and they resided between Lancaster and North Stratford until moving to Hampton in 1967. Most of her life she worked as a bookkeeper and was employed at the Hampton National Bank of NH and later Hampton Ford and Toyota in Exeter.
Marguerite was known for berry picking, making and teaching ceramics, knitting, and baking. She was generous with her knitted items and kept her neighborhood well supplied with cookies. She was also an active member of the United Methodist Church in Hampton. Her greatest enjoyment was spending summers at her island camp in Maidstone Lake.
Surviving family members include her three sons Michael Connors of Lancaster, Brian Connors of Apache Jct., AZ, Daniel G. Connors of Hampton; a sister Beverly Carlisle of Fords, NJ; 5 grandchildren, Beth Paiva, Chad Connors, Eric Connors, Carrie Connors, Patrick Connors; 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel and a grandson Sean Connors.
A memorial service will be held in June or July at the Maidstone camp. An announcement will be posted at a later date.
