Marilyn P. Ashby

March 13, 1931 — February 11, 2021

JEFFERSON - Marilyn P. Ashby, 89, of Israels River Road, died Thursday morning, February 11, 2021 at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.

Mrs. Ashby was born in Concord Hospital, Concord, NH on March 13, 1931 the daughter of Paul and Marion (Taylor) Robinson. She was a graduate of Concord High School and the Boston Dispensary earning a degree as a medical laboratory technician in 1951. For many years Marilyn was a lab tech at Weeks Medical Center.

Marilyn was an amazing, caring person who was a good listener and would give advice or a helping hand when needed. If provoked, you could bring out her fiery side! She loved reading novels and doing crossword puzzles, as well as stamp and coin collecting to pass the time. Her cross stitch was truly one of a kind and her handmade creations will live on for generations to come. Marilyn enjoyed the company of family and friends. She would cook beans and sell crafts at every fireman's breakfast until her later years prevented her from attending. Her love of cats will forever be engraved in every person's mind that knew her. Living in Jefferson for over 50 years, she called this home.

Surviving family members include her son Scott Ashby and wife Brenda of Hill, NH; a daughter Lynn Abramovich and husband Steve of Monroe, North Carolina; a brother Bob Robinson and wife Julie of Loudon, NH; a sister Sheila Briggs and husband Steve of Kingston, NH; 9 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 3 nieces and 4 nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Edwin R. Ashby in 2009 and a son, Paul R. Ashby in 2012.

At Marilyn's request a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, 210 Main Street, Lancaster. For more information or to send an online condolence please go to www.baileyfh.net .
