WHITEFIELD, NH - After a long and fruitful life, Marilyn Brado - MacDonald passed away peacefully at the Summit by Morrison Memory Care Unit in Whitefield, NH on March 25 , 2019. She was born and raised in Jackman, ME on March 8, 1929. Marilyn is pre-deceased by her first husband Richard R "Dick" Brado, a son Richard E Brado, and her second husband Robert M. MacDonald of Kennebunk, ME. Marilyn is also pre-deceased by her brothers Clayton W Holden and Lynn A Holden. Marilyn is survived by her son, Barry C Brado and his wife Doreen of Dalton, a grand-son Barry C Brado Jr of Laconia, NH and his partner Tracey Bryerton, a grand-daughter Elizabeth L Brado also of Dalton, NH another grand-son Garrett D Ingerson Sr. of Concord, NH, and four great grandchildren Maygin Fournier of Laconia, NH, Tristan Reinhold of Gilford, NH, Holden Brado of Laconia, NH, Garrett Ingerson Jr of Dalton, NH and Oscar Wilkinson of Kennebunk, ME.
Marilyn loved music and was an accomplished pianist. She enjoyed reading and traveling as well. She retired as the Children's Librarian for the City of South Portland, ME in 1994. In her retirement years in Kennebunk she enjoyed volunteering at the Kennebunkport public library and reading to children. With her magnetic personality she made her neighbors, friends, and strangers she met on the beach feel at home. Her smile was infectious and her pranks at Halloween will always be remembered. Marilyn stayed fit with her 5 mile daily walks and fitness center visits. She loved to walk the beach in Kennebunk, ME and converse with all she met as she had that natural "gift of gab". Mom and "Nannie" will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 30th at 1:00 PM in the auditorium at the Summit by Morrison, Whitefield.
