NORTH CONCORD, VT- Marilyn Roy, 72, died Saturday morning December 8, 2007, at St. Johnsbury Health and Rehab.
Marilyn was born in Gilman, VT on May 27, 1935, the daughter of Albert A. and Caroline (Foster) Roy.
She was a graduate of Concord High School and attended Lyndon Teachers College. For a time she served with the US Air Force; she was employed with the Gilman Credit Union and later she worked at the Citizens Bank, St. Johnsbury, VT for over 20 years as a teller and later a bookkeeper.
There were many things she enjoyed in life including traveling and her camp on Miles Pond; she was known for her love of the ducks there. Her greatest love was hunting and fishing.
She is survived by, her stepmother Joyce Roy of Gilman, VT; her best friend since childhood, Joseph Gallinelli also of Gilman; close friend and hunting companion, Sydney Partridge of North Concord, VT, dear friends Pat Gray and Diane Brinley both of St.Johnsbury, VT; cousins Mr. & Mrs. Michael Mahurin, Hannah Mahurin and Allyson Mahurin, all of Hill, NH, several other cousins, aunts and uncles.
There are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Riverside Cemetery, S. Lunenburg, VT.
