JEFFERSON - Marion E. Dupont, 88, died Thursday morning, September 15, 2011, at the Country Village Genesis Eldercare Center, Lancaster.
Mrs. Dupont was born on June 11, 1923, the daughter of Frederick and Marjorie (Izatt) Willoughby.
Marion was best known as a hard worker who enjoyed different jobs she held during her life. At one time she was employed at the Mt. Washington Hotel were she worked in housekeeping and laundry. Later she was employed many years as a cook at the Morrison Nursing Home, Whitefield. A job she was particularly proud of.
Family members include a son Bruce Dupont and his wife Diane of Jefferson; two daughters, Amber Boudle and her husband Rodney of Lunenburg, Bonnie Smith of Jefferson; a daughter-in-law, Miriam Dupont of Jefferson; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lionel N. Dupont; two sons, Frederick and Robert Dupont; two sisters, Dorothy Sheridan and Lois Garvin; and a son-in-law Brian Smith.
There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held Saturday morning, September 24, at 10:30 AM, at the Lancaster Assembly of God Church. Reverend Seth Frink, pastor, will officiate. Burial of her ashes will follow in Forest Vale Cemetery, Jefferson.
