NORTH STRATFORD - Mary D. Bilodeau, 82, died peacefully Thursday morning March 22, 2018, at the Coos County Nursing Hospital in West Stewartstown.
Mary was a lifetime resident of North Stratford born there on September 29, 1935, the daughter of Chester and Emma (Riff) Rainey. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church and always prepared food for church functions and bake sales. Mary was and avid reader and loved to travel. She and her late husband, Sylvio S. Bilodeau, travelled extensively in their motor home throughout the US and Canada.
Mary will be remembered most as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was her number one priority and more than anything she loved spending time with them and taking care of them.
Surviving family members include three daughters, Sally Wheeler and Brenda Bilodeau both of Jefferson, Tina Rexford of Lancaster; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helena Dustin of Whitefield, and Barbara Gray of Colebrook. She was predeceased by Sylvio in 2005; a son Michael Bilodeau in 1999; and a brother Henry Rainey.
Visiting hours will be held Friday evening March 30th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church, North Stratford. Lisa Dissler will officiate. Burial will be in the spring in Fairview Cemetery, North Stratford.
A graveside committal service will be held Saturday, June 2nd at 11:00 AM in Fairview Cemetery, North Stratford.
