LANCASTER - Mary A. Clay, 81, of Williams Street, died Thursday evening February 4th, 2021 at the Country Village Genesis Eldercare Center.
Mary was born in Lancaster on April 22, 1939 the daughter of Arthur and Rufina (Howe) Savage. She was raised in Lancaster and was a graduate of Lancaster High School.
For 30 years Mary was employed with AT&T, working in many capacities and many locations during her time with them. In her later years worked for Lancaster Floral Design where she was able to follow her longtime passion arranging flowers. She also enjoyed making flower deliveries. She got to brighten someone's day and engage in some friendly conversation.
Mary also enjoyed cooking and playing Bingo. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, Bethlehem.
Surviving family members include her two sons, Harriman F. "Buster" Clay Jr. of Newport, NH, Matthew Clay of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Matthew, Madeline, Michael, Ariel, Slade; a great-granddaughter Jesenya and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Harriman F. "Buster" Clay Sr. and a brother James Savage.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
