Mrs. Hotchkiss was born in Arlesey, Bedfordshire, England, on September 23, 1949, the daughter of William and Joyce Edna Alice (Webb) Walker.

She loved animals especially her dogs, her cat, and Hereford cows. At her home she operated the Grumble Weed Farm Stand, a long time dream of hers. Her passion was sitting on her porch in the evening looking over her gardens and the grazing cattle.
