Melissa D. Pebbles

DALTON - She was given the gift of life now she has to give it back. She was a lucky woman with a strong mind and an even stronger sense of humor. Melissa D. Pebbles passed away on Monday, October 8th, 2018 after a short battle with a rare and aggressive leukemia. Although she was sick she said the greatest gift she could ever ask for is the ability to say goodbye to her loved family and friends. She always wore a smile and had a comment to make a room irrupt in laughter. Born July 29, 1974 to Carl J. Pebbles III and Julie B. Pebbles in Lancaster, NH she grew up in Dalton, NH then went to school at SUNY Cobleskill for Equine Management and Canine Psychology before returning home to work for the United States Postal Service. She took great pride in the ability to raise her own food on her family farm; this is a gift she has passed down to her daughter along with her life-long love of horses. She would want us all to remember it's not about the numbers chiseled in concrete it's about the dash between.

She is survived by her daughter Emily Day and granddaughter Isabella Day of Dalton; her mother Julie of Lancaster; a brother Carl J. Pebbles IV; her life partner Glen Grammo of Dalton and her family of good friends. Her father Carl predeceased her in 2001.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 11th at 3:00 PM at the Jefferson Town Hall.
