HENDERSON, NEVADA - Melvin F. Flynn, 81, died on September 11, 2008.
He was born on January 15, 1927 in Lancaster, the son of the late Elmer and Marion (Gonyer) Flynn.
He served his country in Japan after World War II. In 1952 Melvin moved his family to Waterbury, Conn., where he drove truck as a member of Teamsters Local 677 for 40 years until retirement in 1992. In September of 2004 Melvin moved to Henderson, Nev.
Melvin is survived by his wife of 64 years, Anna (Chaloux) Flynn; his sonand daughter-in-law, Donald and Janice Flynn of Windsor Locks, Conn.; his daughter and son-in-law Linda and Ronald Beloin of Columbia; his daughter and son-in-law Anita and Arthur Goulet of Henderson, Nev.; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who all love "Papa" very much.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday September 27, at 11:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church, Reverend Raymond Ball, pastor, will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at Summer Street Cemetery in Lancaster.
