TWIN MOUNTAIN - Meri Costa beloved wife of Mike Costa, passed away peacefully in her Twin Mountain home Saturday afternoon, January 6, 2018, after a long and spirited battle with cancer. She was 57.
Meri worked as a special education coordinator in the Berlin School district. She was dedicated to her work and proud of each and every one of her students. She was also a staunch supporter of charities, including Joyce Meyer Ministries, Toys for Tots and the Catholic Charities Giving Tree.
Meri is survived by her husband Mike, her daughter Monica (Travis) Snelling, her stepson Ken Costa, her grandchildren Troy, Maxwell, Trent and "Baby M" Snelling (in utero), her siblings, Willie (Adriana) Dawson, Alicia (Ted) Harmon, Kathy (Darrell) Poulin, and Andy (Donna) Chamberlain, her mother and father in-law, Ronald and Marguerite Costa, her siblings in-law Kate (Gerard) McMann, and Bill (Chelsea Bouchard) Costa, and her several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her mother Lucyann Davis as well as her adoptive parents, Frank Jr. and Adeline (Rogers) Chamberlain.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to any of the above mentioned charities are appreciated.
Meri will best be remembered for pouring her heart and soul into everything she did, for her determination, strength and for putting God and family first. Though it saddens us all at this parting, we take comfort in knowing that Jesus has received her into his loving arms.
Memorial visiting hours will be held Saturday, January 13th, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster. A day and time for her memorial service is pending. Please return to our website
