Mildred E. 'Millie' Wright

LOS BANOS, CA - Mildred E. "Millie" Wright, 89, formerly of Lunenburg, died June 22, 2015 at her daughter's home in Los Banos.
Mrs. Wright was born in Portland, Maine on October 14, 1925 the daughter of Winfred H. and Edith M. (Holmes) Colby.
Millie was raised in Portland and for a time worked as a telephone operator. She later married Bernard J. Wright and in 1946 moved to Lunenburg, VT. For 17 years she worked in the dietary department at Weeks Medical Center and for the last 12 of those years she was the diet clerk. For several years her health has failed and for the past year and a half she has resided with her daughter Linda in Los Banos.
Surviving family members include two daughters Linda Stramal of Los Banos, CA, Joanne Laughlin of Inverness, FL; two sons William N. Wright Groveton, David J. Wright of Lisbon; 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Bernard and a son Donald J. Wright.
A graveside service will be held Saturday October 10 at 11:00 AM in the Riverside Cemetery in South Lunenburg.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Riverside Rescue, 236 Riverside Ave., Lunenburg, VT 05906.
