Nancy Reed passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday April 14th, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family and animals.
She was born to the late John Reed and Norma Reed. She was also predeceased by her siblings Norma Lannen, Randall Reed, and Mary Ann Gill.
Nancy is survived by her siblings, in order from oldest to youngest: John Reed Jr.; Debra Saltzman; Joel Reed (wife Debra); Judith Anne Harrington (husband Brian); and many extended family members who will miss her dearly.
Nancy was a dedicated and compassionate woman who found purpose in caring for others. She worked as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) and also as a paralegal, touching many lives through both professions.
She was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church of Lancaster, where she enjoyed Bible study and fellowship within her church community.
Nancy had a warm and creative spirit. She loved gardening, baking, and participating in local events such as the Lunenburg Gingerbread Contest and bake sales. She was an animal lover and enjoyed drawing and painting.
Above all, Nancy cherished her family. She is survived by her children: Linda Daigle (partner Bill); Thomas Oliveira Jr. (wife Jill); Michael Oliveira (wife Melanie); Jennifer Upton (husband Casey); Kristine McHarg (husband Garrett); Nicholas Oliveira (partner Sarah); and Jessica Horta (partner Kyle).
She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Branden and Joseph Daigle; Andrew and Logan Oliveira; Autumn, Alissa, and Austin Oliveira; Santino and Marciano Chiarenza; Tommy and Amelia Upton; and Taylor, Xavier Pittman, and Makenna McHarg.
Nancy is also survived by her cherished great-grandchildren: Amaria Raposo; Alexander Daigle; and Summer Daigle.
Nancy will be remembered for her caring heart, especially for animals and her creativity . She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
