JEFFERSON - Neal W. Rideout Jr., 83, of Turnpike Road, died at his home Tuesday afternoon, May 21, 2019.
Mr. Rideout was born in Lancaster on January 24, 1936, the son of Neal W. Rideout Sr. and Olive (Stillings) Rideout.
For 10 year Neal worked for Gilman Paper Company and for 39 years he was a mechanic for North Country Ford in Lancaster. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family.
Family members include his wife of 64 years Shirley A. (McLain) Rideout of Jefferson; his children Neal T. Rideout of Jefferson, Joanne McGuire and husband John of Allenstown, NH; 2 brothers, Leo Rideout of Lancaster, Seavie Rideout of Hampton; 2 sisters, Betty Leaf and Rose Chagnon both of Naples, FL; 3 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Randy Lee Rideout. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
