Neva Mae (Timson) Macie passed on Monday, Nov 17th, 2025, in Littleton, NH, surrounded by family after a brief illness. Born April 13, 1948, at home in East Concord, Vermont, daughter of Lawrence and Freda (Davis) Timson. She grew up in Concord and attended Concord High School, graduating in 1966.
Neva married her high school sweetheart, Carroll D. Macie, on July 1, 1967. Two sons were born to this union, Edward J Macie and Carroll Eric Macie.
As a military family, they resided in Utah, Colorado, Florida, and Maryland before settling in Lunenburg, VT, for the remainder of her life.
Neva held several different jobs, spending the majority of her working years as a billing and medical coder at Weeks Medical Center and Hospital.
Her hobbies included poetry, singing, dancing, cooking, gardening, especially her roses and lilacs, traveling, vacations, and maple sugaring.
Most precious to her was her family and her dogs. She was engaged and supported her children and grandchildren in all their endeavors.
Neva is survived by her husband of 58 years, Carroll, two sons, Edward and (Lynn) of Lunenburg, VT, Carroll and (Audrey) of Glendale, AZ. Three grandchildren, Audra Macie and (husband Alex Tamm) of Herndon, VA, Morgan and (husband Dana Hazeltine) of Bedford, NH, and great-granddaughter Marguerite Hazeltine, and Damien Macie of Fletcher, VT. (his mother, Kelly Macie of Lunenburg, VT). Sister Marie and (Richard) Paradis of Greenville, NC, and Edward and (Linda) Timson of Lunenburg, VT. Aunts Joan Nichols and Maude Timson and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and her two dogs, Annie and Willy. Preceding Neva in passing are her parents, Lawrence and Freda, half-siblings Harry Hanley, Robert Hanley, and Betty (Hanley) Handy, and many others.
A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2026.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Riverside Rescue or Gilman Senior Center can be made in her name.
