OBITUARY
NICHOL C. DAVIS SR.
DALTON - Nichol C. Davis Sr., 79, of Simonds Road, died Thursday evening, May 7, 2020, at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, after a period of failing health issues.
Mr. Davis was born in Lancaster on December 26, 1940, the son of Stanley L. and Dorothy E. (Kay) Davis.
In the late 50's to early 60's he was a race car driver for Carroll Shelby Racing. From September 1958 to September 1964 he served with the US Air Force. He worked most of his life as a mechanic, welder and fabricator. He also served with the National Guard and retired as an Infantry Sergeant in 1982 at which time he also became a disabled veteran.
Nichol enjoyed horse shoes, dancing, fishing, the military, and watching and reading Westerns. He loved his wife, family, friends, and his country.
He is survived by his wife Pauline M. (Ouellette) Davis of Dalton; his four children Darlene Davis of Lancaster, Craig Davis and wife Lori of Franklin, Dorothy King and husband Adam of Dalton, Nichol C. Davis Jr. of Dalton; grandchildren Melissa Roscher, Sarah Kenison, Jake Davis, Ashley Gooden, Carson Fournier, Savannah Walters, Brian Davis; and great-grandchildren Boe, Hunter, Jena, Emma, Raelynn, Brock; two sisters Kay Antley of Prosperity South Carolina, Harlene "Holly" Cusson of Lancaster; and a brother Carl Davis of Brigantine, New Jersey.
