Fort Lauderdale, FL- Norma Jean Singer, 64, died Friday February 8, 2013, at the John Knox Hospice Center in Pompano, FL after a short illness.
Norma was born in Lancaster on March 29, 1948, oldest daughter of Robert and Hazel (Gonyer) Baker.
She was raised in Lancaster, graduated from Lancaster Academy. For a time she worked at the Lancaster Diner. In 1984 she married Wilbur Singer. they moved to Florida in 1989 where they made their home. Norma worked as a concierge for a Hotel in Fort Lauderdale for many years.
Family members include, her son Mark Baker, her beloved step daughter, Marie Singer Miles of Fort Lauderdale, FL, three brothers, Wayne "Butch" Baker of Lancaster, NH, Craig Baker of Lancaster, NH and Kevin Baker of Manchester, NH, one sister Lynn Baker of Manchester, NH and a half sister Nancy Baker, many nieces and nephews.
Norma was predeceased by her parents, her husband Wilbur Singer in 2004, and a sister Roberta L. Malanson in 2011.
A graveside service will be held this summer at the Summer Street Cemetery in Lancaster.
