Norman Darwin Brooks, 71, of Stewartstown passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 in Colebrook, New Hampshire. Norman was born in West Stewartstown on September 11, 1954 to Darwin & Agnes (Benoit) Brooks. He lived his entire life in the Stewartstown/Colebrook area, eventually building his home on land from his grandfather’s farm.

Norman worked hard throughout his life. He specifically excelled in road and drainage construction. Until retirement, Norman worked as a Road & Bridge Construction Supervisor. Norman enjoyed hosting class reunions for Colebrook Academy Class of 1973 where he loved to reminisce with his classmates.

Predeceasing Norman in passing are his parents, grandparents, sister, Diane Merrill (Brooks) and brother Michael Brooks.

Survivors include his wife and partner of 37 years, Amy Brooks. He is also survived by his daughter Jennifer (Brooks) Haynes and her husband Stephen Haynes, his son Scott Brooks and wife Melanie. More than anything else, Norman loves his four grandchildren, Levi and Natalie Brooks and Brooke Ashley and Brandon Haynes. Norman loved every moment he could spend with his grandchildren and will be missed dearly. He travelled to more than 5 different states, including Alaska, to see his dear grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to Norman Brooks Memorial Vocational Scholarship. Norman will be laid to rest at Stewartstown Hollow Cemetery during a private family burial at a later date.
