LANCASTER - Norman L. Skinner Sr., 85, formerly of 7 Meadow Mist Drive, Whitefield, died Sunday morning July 8, 2012, at the Country Village Genesis Health Care Center, Lancaster.
Mr. Skinner was born in Barton, VT, on April 7, 1927, the son of Lynn and Dora (Blake) Skinner.
Norman loved to hunt and trap and once published a how-to-book titled "N. Skinner's Sure Fire Deer Hunting Method". He also enjoyed singing and was known as the karoke king for the many karoke machines he owned.
Family members include his daughter Katherine Couture and her husband Donald of Berlin: a son Brian Skinner of Manchester; his long time companion Eleanor Hart of Lancaster; a brother Everett E. Skinner of Goffstown; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his extended family at Country Village Nursing Home. He was predeceased by a son Norman Skinner Jr., his parents, and two brothers, Dean B. Skinner and Wallace L. Skinner.
At Norman's request there are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held Wednesday morning, July 11, at 11:00 AM, in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster. Rev. Sharon van der Laan, pastor of the Lancaster Congregational United Church of Christ will officiate.
