LANCASTER - Patty passed away after a long illness, Thursday morning, February 6, 2025, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster. She was born in Lancaster on December 28, 1951, the daughter of Ronald and Elizabeth “Betty” (Thayer) Gainer.
In 1969 she graduated from White Mountain Regional High School and was a graduate of Houles Beauty Academy.
She was a jack of all trades, from owning her own hair salon from1970 to 2004, and flower shop to repairing her cars, home, and everything in and around. The job she was most proud of and compassionate about, however, her job as head gardener at Santa’s Village. She was always making sure the flowers look beautiful for her family and their guests. Patty resided most of her life in Lancaster except for some time in Alaska.
She survived by her daughter, Bethany Gainer Ridley and husband, Mark, her brother Mike Gainer and wife Elaine, her sister Sharon Kenison, and husband Chuck, 2 nieces, 3 nephews, 6 great nieces, 5 great nephews and last but certainly not least her reasons for living, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Abigail, Emily and Michael Josselyn, Ethan and Kyleigh Stewart, Conner, Cooper, Coco, and Hallie Mae. She is predeceased by her parents, Ronnie and Betty Gainer, and her faithful dog, Annie.
Memorial visiting hours will be held Saturday evening, February 15th from 4:00 – 6:00PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A memorial service will follow the visiting hours. Burial will be held in the Spring at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery, Lancaster.
