PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLORIDA - Paul Scott Willey, Jr. passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020. He was at home with his loving family by his side. He had an amazing life, living to be 104 years old.

Paul "Bud" was born in Framingham, Massachusetts, on October 9, 1916, to Paul Scott Willey Sr. and Eolah Bell (Stoddard) Willey.

He graduated from North High School in Worcester Massachusetts in 1936. For 2 years he took Business College Courses at night, while working in the office of a Plumbing Company, then worked for New England Forestry Service and then in April of 1940 he went to work for Pratt and Whitney, East Hartford, Conn.

On August 29,1942, he joined the Navy and was stationed at Quonset Point, Rhode Island. He was an Aviation Machinist's Mate, First Class. While in the Navy, he attended Brown University, taking more college courses.

On August 2, 1945, he married Barbara Caroline Carter. Paul had an honorable discharge from the Navy on November 11, 1945. Living in Connecticut, he returned to Pratt and Whitney where he continued to be in the Experimental Purchasing Department, as a buyer. In 1956 Paul left Pratt and Whitney and formed Ala-Cyn Company, self-employed, selling machine tools and measuring instruments. In 1962, Paul and Barbara moved from Connecticut to North Palm Beach, Florida, so he could take a position as a
Sales Representative for Mal Tool and Engineering Company.

He retired at an early age, enjoying over 50 years of retirement. Paul and Barbara were avid golfers. They attended the Masters Golf Tournament in Georgia for many years. In 1984, they purchased the Ridgwell Farm in Guildhall, Vermont. Back in New England, they enjoyed many Summers at the farm.

Paul and Barbara were married for 69 years before Barbara passed in August of 2014. They had 2 children, Cynthia of Lancaster, NH and a son, Alan, of Port Orange, Florida, who passed away in 2016. Paul will be fondly remembered by his 3 grandchildren - Katherine McMann (Doug)of Lancaster, NH, Kristen Dewar of Fort Pierce, Florida and Thomas James Willey of West Palm Beach, Florida - 6 great-grandchildren - Lillian,
Addilyn, Addison, Mallory, Alan James and Valentina. Paul was predeceased by 1 brother and 2 sisters. Paul has been a Mason for 70 years and recently received a pin for this honor and accomplishment.

A graveside service will be held Saturday morning, May 22 at 11:30 AM in Ridgwell Cemetery, Guildhall. Reverend Timothy Brooks, pastor of St. Paul's Church, Lancaster, will officiate.
