Pauline Emma Aremburg

GILMAN, VT- Pauline Emma Aremburg, 75, passed away, Monday morning, January 7, 2008, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.

Mrs. Aremburg was born in Gilman, VT on February 17, 1932, the daughter of Paul and Emma (Duguay) Lefrancois.

She attended grade school in Gilman and began High School in Littleton transferring to Lancaster where she was a 1951 graduate of Lancaster Academy. She married Charles Aremburg of Haverhill, NH on January 26, 1957 at St. Theresa's Church in Gilman. Throughout her life she worked at a variety of North Country businesses including the telephone company, the credit union and as Postmaster for the Gilman Post Office. She also worked at the Four Dorr Restaurant and a motel in Jefferson before staying at home with her four children.

Pauline enjoyed traveling, camping, knitting sweaters for her children and grand children. She also enjoyed reading Danielle Steele and Nora Roberts books, as well as attending several country music concerts throughout the years. She was an avid collector of bells and spoons from around the world.

She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and was often seen at all of their sporting events, school concerts and other school functions.

She was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion Auxiliaries.

Family members include her husband Charles of Gilman; three children David Aremburg and his wife Rita of Concord, VT, Kevin Aremburg and his wife Eydie of Waterford, VT and Carla Amadon and her fiancé Ed Alenckis of Lunenburg; seven grandchildren Jennifer Amadon of Lunenburg, Hilary Bradshaw and her husband Justin of Monroe, Jason Amadon and his wife Michelle of Lunenburg, Kelly Aremburg of Burlington, VT, Nathan Aremburg also of Burlington, Adam Aremburg and Ryan Aremburg both of Waterford, VT and her great granddaughter Hollyn Bradshaw of Monroe, NH. She is also survived by, her mother Emma Lefrancois of Gilman and a sister Louise Verret of Littleton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by, her father, her sister Rena Ainsworth and her son Jeffrey Aremburg.

There are no calling hours. Burial will be held in the spring at their family lot in St. Rose of Lima in Littleton.
