LUNENBURG - Pearl May Malanson, 88, died Friday January 6, 2012, at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester.
Mrs. Malanson was born in Brownington, VT, on May 5, 1923, the daughter of Walter Raymond and Mable Bell (Bennett) Young.
Pearl was a longtime Lunenburg resident and homemaker who loved crafts, playing cards, going to auctions, word searches, sewing, music, and spending time with family.
Family members include her children, Phyllis Martin and lifetime friend Sandra Laughy of Northfield, NH, Robert Malanson of Northumberland, Mable Fox and husband David of Lunenburg, Linda Krauss and husband Wally of Lunenburg, Bonnie Cotter and husband Norman of Northumberland, Diane Malanson of St. Johnsbury, VT; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Phyllis Gertrude Higgins of Laconia, Stella Ruth Merrow and husband Richard of Littleton, Vera Beatrice Andrews of Moultonborough; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Stanley Malanson; a daughter Mary Malanson; three brothers, Gordon Young, Dale Young, Maurice Young; and a sister Pauline Godbout.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, January 10, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A funeral service will follow Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring in Summer Street Cemetery.
