DALTON - Philip C. Forst, 89, died Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon.
Mr. Forst was born June 21, 1930 in North Bergen, NJ, the son of Philip and Mary (Puleo) Forst. He was raised in Hillsdale, NJ, worked as a master plumber until the age of 45 when he retired. He was married to his dear friend and wife, Edith of 61 years. They spent their retirement years traveling the countryside in their motor home visiting the many sites this country has to offer, their favorite being Alaska. Often times they traveled with many friends and acquaintances they has met over the years being members of motor coach clubs, with Philip holding office positions planning many of their getaways.
Philip was predeceased by his parents along with his sister, Mitzi Shroeder. He is survived by his wife and five children: Edith Forst, Philip Forst IV and wife, Shea Catherine Reynolds, Peter Forst, and Linda Burke and husband Mark; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday evening, July 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Monday afternoon at 1:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster. Reverend Daniel Deveau, pastor of the St. Marguerite d'Youville Parish will officiate. Burial with committal service will be held Wednesday afternoon, July 10, at 2:30 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery in Milbridge, ME.
