LUNENBURG - Phyllis G. Mosher, 93, of Simonds Road, died Friday morning September 12, 2014 at Country Village Genesis Eldercare Center.
Mrs. Mosher was born in West Stewartstown, NH on March 15, 1921 the daughter of Edwin Franklin and Ida A. (Libby) Parker.
For a time worked for Dr. Ferguson and then married James H. Mosher. After raising her family she worked as a housekeeper and assisted with the care of her grandchildren. For 17 years she was employed with Manchester Knitted Fashions in Whitefield.
Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, embroidery, sewing and crafts. She made mittens for Toys for Tots and one year made 300 pair.
Family members include her daughters, Anna Eastman of Anchorage, AK, Betty McLeod and husband John of Groveton; a step-son John H. Mosher of Florida; 5 grandchildren, Tom Jr. and fiancée Amy, Jamie and wife Tania, Tanya and husband Kevin, David and wife Melissa, Krystal; 8 great-grandchild, Haile, Brady, Dillon, Breanna, Carly, Chandler, Kenley, Devin; one brother, Robert Parker of Illinois; 2 sisters, Edwina Adair of North Stratford, Rachel Langlois of Goffstown, NH and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James; her son Thomas Mosher Sr.; siblings, Harley, Josephine, Virginia, George, Lydia, Jeanette, and Janice.
Visiting hours will be held at the Bailey Funeral Home Tuesday evening September 16 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Pastor Danielle Rodrigues of the Groveton and Stark United Methodist Churches will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, St. Johnsbury.
