LANCASTER – Phyllis Mary Williams, 86, of Lancaster went home to be with The Lord and Savior on Monday, June 24th, at Weeks Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 1st, 1938, in Mystic, Connecticut to Madeline (Kinney) and Herman Anderson. Later, she would graduate from Stonington High School in Pawcatuck, Connecticut. Phyllis would go on to meet and marry her husband of 65 years, Donald Williams of Westerly, Rhode Island. Together they had four children raised in Rhode Island.
Phyllis retired from Leviton Manufacturing. She was a piece technician. She was involved in various church ministries including WMU and held the chairman position of Fresh Aire Kids, helping many children from New York. She always took in anyone who needed a place to stay and had her home and table open to others. Phyllis was also known for her many blue ribbons won from the Washington County Fair. She also loved crocheting and collecting pig memorabilia, accessories, collectables, etc.
Predeceasing her in passing are her parents, loving husband, sister, Kim Anderson and son, Kenny Don Williams. She is survived by three children, David Williams of Lancaster, NH; Linda (Gerald) LeClair of Wakefield, Rhode Island; and Tracy (David) Pentantel of Wirtz, Virginia. Also surviving are three siblings, Gloria Fowler; Madeline Heidler; and Grace Goodrow as well as seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6pm on Monday, July 8th, 2024, at Crossroads Church in Littleton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
