LANCASTER, NH- Rae Jean Gross, 52, of Burnside Street, died at her home on Sunday, December 21, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mrs. Gross was born in Berlin on January 20, 1956 the daughter of Raymond Chandler and Dawn (Bailey) Willey.
Rae Jean was raised in Gorham and was a 1974 graduate of Gorham High School. In 1975 she enlisted in the U.S Air Force, where she met her husband Boe. They were stationed for a time in Japan then returned to Gorham and have been residents of Lancaster since 1989. She was employed at Weeks Medical Center, where she worked as a Phlebotomist.
She was an avid fan of the Celtics and the Red Sox. She loved the ocean and collecting watches and t-shirts.
Family members include her husband Alvin "Boe" Gross of Lancaster, two daughters Jennifer Rae Frazee of Nantucket, MA and Courtney Gross of Manchester, a grandson Kyle, her father Raymond Chandler of Gorham, her mother Dawn Willey of Florida and her sister Laurie Pacheco of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Memorial visiting hours will be held Tuesday, December 23, from 6-8 PM at the bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A memorial service will be held on Friday December 26, at 1:00 PM, at the Jefferson Christian Church. Reverend Dean A. Stiles, pastor, will officiate.
