Ralph Josselyn

JEFFERSON - Ralph Josselyn, resident of Jefferson NH, formerly of Lowell, Ma, Manchester NH, Orlando FL, and Concord NH passed away on Thursday November 16 at Weeks Medical Center at the age of 79 following a sudden illness.

Ralph was born in Burlington VT to Ralph and Shirley (Gerrish) Josselyn on May 31, 1938. He grew up in Billerica MA where he graduated high school. In his youth he was an active stock car fan and enjoyed putting a car together to enter the Hudson Speedway, just out of High School. After graduation he worked in several manufacturing industries. He worked 5 years at American Can Co, Maynard Mass as a plastics extruder operator. He then worked 17 years at Sanders Associates in Manchester NH as laminating press operator, group leader, lamination specialist and assistant supervisor in the flex-print division. When they closed, he went to work for PEC-Viktron in Orlando FL as a supervisor where he worked for 10 years. He worked for Universal Circuits in Orlando FL from 1989 till his retirement in 2002. He returned north to NH in 2007 to be closer to friends and family.

His personal accomplishments include being a member and later President of the Baptist Youth Fellowship at the North Billerica Baptist Church for 4 years. He served as a camp counselor for the Baptist Youth Conference. He was a member of the choir and even played the organ for the service when the organist was unable to be there. He was a member of the Board of Directors as well as treasurer for the 29 Bedford NH Little League teams, and even coached one of the teams. He was a Manager and on the Board of Directors of the Manchester NH Pony League for 2 years. For 5 years he was a coach of the PEC-Viktron men's and women's softball team.

He was a lover of animals, especially cats. He would be sure his own and all the neighborhood cats had plenty of food. He followed the Boston Red Sox and Patriots teams all his life, even when living in Florida.

He will sadly be missed by his 3 brothers, Sterling and Irene Josselyn of Manchester, Marvin Josselyn of Otisfield ME, Keith and Helene Josselyn of Jefferson NH; 2 sons David and Daniel Josselyn of Concord, 2 daughters Carlene Reisman and Lisa Ariel Sullivan of Manchester NH; Grandchildren include David Lee Josselyn and Craig Josselyn of Concord NH. Several cousins, nieces and nephews.

At his request, there are no calling hours. His cremains will be buried in a family plot with his mother and grandmother. A graveside service to be held in the spring of 2018 at the East Northwood Cemetery, Northwood NH.
