Regina E. Lavoie

August 6, 1947 — May 13, 2017

LANCASTER - Regina E. LaVoie passed away May 13,2017 at Weeks Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born in Derby CT. August 6, 1947, the daughter of Roland and Virginia (DeMarco) LaVoie. She was raised in Shelton CT.

Schooling was very important to Regina. She worked hard earning multiple degrees, and climbing the educational ladder to the top. In the late 70's she moved to Guildhall, VT with her family. After raising her daughters she resided in Lancaster, where she took great pride in her home and flower beds. The community will remember her walking her beloved dachshund Adrian. She enjoyed volunteering at Weeks Memorial Library. "My books kept my sanity in the bad times and made the good times better". She enjoyed all of the Col. Town Community House exercise programs.

Surviving family members include two daughters, Larissa Gonyer and husband Steven Gonyer and son's Jared Cassady and Jake Cassady; Maeve Cyr and husband George Cyr and children Blake and Devyn Cyr; a sister Alice (Lavoie) Long and husband Don Long and children Eric and Kim Long.

She was a dedicated mother, Nana and friend to all.

Visiting hours will be Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster.

Donations may be made in her memory to Weeks Memorial Library or Colonel Town Community House.
