LANCASTER - Reginald Herbert Rodger, 78, formerly of Hurlburt Road, Dalton, passed away from a long illness on the evening of March 17, 2021 at Country Village Genesis Healthcare Center in Lancaster.
Reginald was born in Danville, VT on January 28, 1943 son of Ralph and Mildred Rodger. He is one of seven children, June, Evelyn, Marg, Ruth, Leslie and Eric.
He was in the U.S. Army for three years, on the Dalton Fire Department for a few years and worked for the town of Dalton for over 50 years.
He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Shirley L. Rodger, on January 1, 2021. He leaves behind his daughter Ginger Miller and son-in-law Richard Miller of Littleton; grandchildren Christopher Rodger and his wife and their children Logan, Bryce and Nolan of Hooksett, NH, Kasei McLam and her husband Kelcey McLam and their children, Jaiden Rodger and Mikayla Dalphonse of Berlin, Haydyn Bigelow-Flynn of Whitefield and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for both Reginald & Shirley will be held at Cushman Cemetery in Dalton on June 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Reverend Lou Going of Lancaster will officiate.
