Rene Joseph Girouard

Whitefield- Rene Joseph Girouard, 85, passed away on Tuesday February 12, 2013 in comfort of his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Coaticook, PQ Canada on February 10, 1928 a son to the late Amedde and Anna (Bouly) Girouard.
Mr. Girouard was a carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, playing horseshoes and working with his hands.
He is survived by his wife Jeanne Y. (Sigouin) Girouard, four sons; Roger of Jefferson, NH, Paul of Brookline, NH, Robert of Antrim, NH Norman of Amherst, NH, a daughter Theresa Girouard of Jefferson, two sisters, Cecile McLure of Canada, Marie Jeanne Marion of Canada, a brother Arsene Girouard of Ontario, 10 Grandchildren, 6 Great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday February 15 at Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster from 6-8 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 16 at 11 Am at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Whitefield with Reverend Matthew Mason officiating. Burial will be held in the spring in St. Matthew's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to Northwood's Home Health and Hospice, 278 Main St. Lancaster, NH 03584
