Rita Nancy Bossé

Rita Nancy (Traverso) Bossé, 85 years old formerly of Montpelier, VA, Lawrence, MA, and Lancaster, NH, passed away and returned to her eternal Home on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
Born on March 15, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Anthony P. and Gilda (Canalletti) Traverso of Lawrence, MA. Rita lived in South Lawrence for many years before moving to New Hampshire in 1979. She attended Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence, was a graduate of Lawrence High School - Class of 1954. She was employed by both the Raytheon Company as a librarian and the Internal Revenue Service as a key punch operator, both located in West Andover, MA.
As a resident of New Hampshire, Rita attended All Saints Church in Lancaster. She also worked at Santa's Village in Jefferson, NH for a number of years. She also thoroughly enjoyed her most recent residence at the Ice Pond Village of Lancaster, NH. She loved spending her time playing dice and card games, reading and partaking in many conversations with her much-loved friends throughout the day.
Rita was the widow of Louis M. Bossé, Sr. She leaves two sons and their families. Louis M. Bossé, Jr. and his wife Victoria of Montpelier, VA along with her grandchildren Michael and Jaclyn; Dwayne J. Bossé and his wife Colleen of Lancaster, NH along with her grandchildren Kayla, Cameron and Connor.
Rita is survived by her three brothers, Ralph Traverso and his wife Eleanor of Lawrence, MA; Peter Traverso and his wife Bernice of Kennebunk, ME; and Anthony Traverso, Jr. of Kennebunkport, ME. She was predeceased by her sister, Delia D. Martino and her husband, Albert T. Martino, Sr. formerly of Port Richey. She was also predeceased by her sister-in-law Mary L. Traverso, wife of Anthony Traverso, Jr. Rita also leaves many nieces and nephews.
At her request there will be no calling hours or special services at this time. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
