WHITEFIELD - Rita H. Waterman, 87, died Monday morning, February 25, 2019, at The Morrison in Whitefield. She was has been a resident of Sartwell Place since 2008.
Born on September 8, 1931, in St. Johnsbury, VT, Rita was the daughter of Rev. Earl E. Waterman and Marion (Moulton) Waterman. She attended high school in Deer Isle, Maine graduating in 1949.
She was a member of the Whitefield Christian Church, the Order of the Easter Star, and the Harbinger Bible Conference, Whitefield. At one time she was a receptionist for the Caledonian Record in St. Johnsbury, where she was employed for over 25 years.
Surviving family members include her siblings, Theresa Saunders of Kittery, ME, Reverend Earl R. Waterman of Nova Scotia, Rev. George Waterman of Live Oak, FL., Marion Blake of Live Oak, FL, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister Gillian Willey.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Whitefield Christian Church. Burial will be in the Dexter Cemetery, Sheffield, VT.
