January 19, 1942 — January 12, 2021

STARK - Barron, Robert John, formerly of Melrose, MA passed away peacefully on January 12, seven days shy of his 79th birthday. He was born in Dedham, MA.

Bob graduated from Melrose High School and Newbury College in Boston, MA. He worked for many years at the Groveton Paper Mill. He was also the manager of the Town of Stark's Transfer Station where he was always known to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed him. Bob will be sadly and forever missed by his family and his very best friends, Ray Perkins and Lisa Demers of Stark.

Bob loved the Great North Country. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved gardening, fishing, skiing and cooking. He was also a talented craftsman who worked on many projects, including his log home, and helped many others with their home improvements. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War era. Bob was a man of deep faith and a "Friend of Bill W." for over 40 years.

Bob was predeceased by his mother Helen McLeester of Melrose, MA and his daughter Eve Marie Barron of Revere, MA. He is survived by his daughter Dianne Barron of Revere, MA, his brothers Edward (Ann) Barron of Maryland, George (Dolores) Barron of Norwood, MA, David (Alda) Barron of Pocasset, MA, his sisters Barbara Bennett of Melrose, MA, and Georgia McLeester of Norwood, MA. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
