LANCASTER - Robert A. Bresnahan, 61, of Bridge Street, died suddenly Wednesday January 29, 2014.

Bob was born in Lancaster on February 11, 1952 the son of Gerald and Reta (Montgomery) Bresnahan.  He was a 1970 graduate of White Mountain Regional High School and a 1972 graduate of Berlin Votech.  For several years he worked for a cable company in the North Conway area and then enlisted with the US Navy.  His tour of duty lasted 10 years. During that time he travelled the world and proudly served on the USS Nimitz.

Returning home Bob was employed with ABB Group operating and programming Accuray Systems for quality control in the pulp and paper industry.  He later went into the construction business as a safety office.  "Safety Bob" was well known through the various companies he worked for including Engelberth, Bell Heery, and Cianbro.  He worked throughout New England and was the safety office for various construction projects including the Tenney Mountain and Georgia Mountain  wind farms and the Berlin Federal Prison.

Bob enjoyed spending time at the family camp on Neal Pond in Lunenburg.  He also enjoyed photography, playing poker with his friends and making maple syrup.  He was a dog lover and will be greatly missed by his cocker spaniels Toby and Cooper.

Family members include his wife Linda (Rogers) Bresnahan of Lancaster; his parents Gerald and Reta Bresnahan of Lunenburg; his three children Shane Rogers of Stark, Morgan Rogers of Lancaster, Jessie Hartshorn and her husband David of Lancaster; 11 grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Michael Bresnahan and wife Margaret of Lunenburg, Rebecca Haskins and husband Terry of Richmond, NH, Timothy Bresnahan and wife Marcella of Flagstaff, AZ, Andrew Bresnahan and wife Debbie of Liverpool, NY, Suzanne Bresnahan of Marlow, NH, Carol Gillen of North Woodstock, NH, Peter Bresnahan of Brookline, MA;  his mother-in-law Janice Rogers of Stark and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday afternoon and evening, February 2, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10:00 AM at All Saints Church, Lancaster.  Reverend Matthew Mason, pastor, will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in the spring in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster.
